Evidence of work and good news.

Lest people think that I just sit and do nothing all day, I have proof of my work.
These are the pieces of an afghan that I've made for bub. I'm almost finished seaming it, and I think it's turned out well. I made it all in acrylic so it will be machine washable, probably go a bit fuzzy, but I don't care. Ever square is different so bub will either get good brain stimulation or have a seizure.

This is bub's room. I've made new blockout curtains since this photo was taken, but I'm to lazy to take and upload new ones. I made the nappy stacker, the sheets on the cot, the blanket hanging over the cot and the teddy bear on the dresser. The lump in the cot is a Tetra snuggle bed (instead of a bassinet) and I made the covers for it to, all in chocolate brown.

And I have done some recent baby knitting. The booties are from 50 baby booties to knit and the jacket is the 5 hour baby jacket. The hat I made up. I'm especially proud of the duck feet, I've been wanting to make them for ages.

Lately I've just started making lace socks for myself as I've finished all the baby stuff. I'll just say that cotton and addi turbo's is a wonderful mix.

It's a good thing that I've finished all the baby stuff because we now know when bub will be born. Because of all my blood pressure problems my OB doesn't want to let me go over date so I'm being induced next Wednesday. Bub's birthday is going to be Valentine's day. Having mild PIH (pregnancy induced hypertension) hasn't been a walk in the park, though bub and I have never been in all that much danger, just very closely watched. I landed myself in hospital overnight again since I last posted and it will be nice to get this over and done with.

While being induced for social reasons is not the best idea, I can see why some people would want to do it. We can get the apartment clean, have meals frozen, the ironing done, pack exactly what we need, in general plan things well. It's such a relief to know what is going to happen and to not be waiting around for things. So unless something really interesting happens, I'll talk to you all on the other side.
